  1. In case if no one told you yet. This movie is not a re-make but more of a re-telling of the live action "Drunken Master" 1978 movie with Jackie Chan playing the main character. Highly recommend to watch it. It is awesome.

  2. I really enjoyed your reaction to Kung Fu Panda so many great cast and my favorite part is the end credits of the Kung Fu Fighting song and I look forward to seeing your reaction to the other Kung Fu Panda movies

  3. the inside of the scroll isnt actually blank. its a mirror so when you look at it you see you own reflection. "Believe in self, Nothing added, No accidents"
im good enough im strong enough and damn it people like me

  4. The panda is a true glutton for punishment and snacks. There are some hilarious compilation videos of pandas falling from trees, stairs, balconies, swings, walls, and they always walk away seemingly unscathed.

  5. the funniest thing i ever saw was on twitter where someone wrote "Jack Black is what happens if you make a D&D character and put all your points into Charisma….."

  6. Such a wonderful movie series. I put it together with "How to train your dragon", "Klaus" and "The prince of egypt". Just naming a few more: "An American tail", "the iron giant" "Megamind" , "Treasure planet" "Zootopia". If you are open for something different: "Persepolis", "the last Unicorn", "Rango", "the monster house"
Lets see: animated + shit in space? Yea, Treasureplanet again. "Cowboy Bebop maybe?

  7. "…if you're new to the channel, my name is Angela…"

What's your name if we're not new to the channel?

"…I don't know what kung fu is supposed to look like…"

That's because it's not one thing. In fact, 'Kung Fu' doesn't even refer to martial arts. It literally means 'great work', it's the thing you have spent your time and energy perfecting, your great achievement and skill. Which is why when you look at older kung fu movies from China that are translated into English, you'll find people saying "Your kung fu is weak", basically saying that this thing you spent so much time on is garbage, worthless. It is, of course, a very serious insult. In fact it's still an insult in China today. So much so that people who go around proving that someone's kung fu is in fact weak get targeted by the government as disruptive. There's a guy from China who learned mixed martial arts, and has challenged multiple supposed masters of various martial arts to fights, and beat all of them easily. It's sort of like the 'no touch' masters; the problem is that their students by into the mysticism and nonsense so much that they play along with the pantomime, and so fall down when the script says they should. The moment, however, that they get into a real fight, it doesn't work because the other people in the fight won't play along with the game, and thus won't just fall down. While other martial arts don't go to those extremes, the basic idea of 'the master will always win' is enshrined in them, and so they let the master win. When this guy didn't let them win, they called foul and said he was trampling on their sacred traditions.

That said, there are actual fighting moves in various 'kung fu' martial arts, and lots of different schools of it… including Praying Mantis, and Five-Animal which include Tiger style, Monkey style, Snake style, Crane style, and Dragon style. Not sure how true it is, but there was a TV Show (Kung Fu: The Legend Continue) that discussed how some of these can be different, and that no one style is 'better' than the other. The specific line was 'Tiger always has the power, Dragon always has the choice'. It was in response to a striking attack where he threw a punch at the guy, and the guy (mainly in Tiger style) caught it easily… but didn't see the second fist that was aimed lower down. Obviously, which one's better depends a lot on the scenario. There's also a separate White Crane school. Po's fighting was apparently based a bit on the Dragon style from the Five-Animal school.

And all that said, I'm not sure how close any of that was to the schools/styles they portrayed. Then again, it's hard for them to be since they're not human.

"…does that mean that Tai Lung is dead…"

Yep. Very much so. Remember, Shifu said the hardest part of that hold was cleaning up after.

Great reaction! Enjoy the next two! They're bodacious, and filled with sheer awesome!
